RED Digital Cameras represent a new wave of digital imaging and film making, and OVS is proud to be a supporter.

At OVS we can aid your production with all the requirements of shooting, editing and finishing a film on RED technology.
The great thing about the RED One is that it can fit a variety of workflows. But this can also be the bad news. It's important to set the One up for the type of shoot you need. If you are shooting footage for the Discovery Channel with a direct to HD master, your needs and setup should be different from a project needing to finish on Film for theatrical release. Let us aid you in this decision making process. Usually we'll be happy to do this for free. Also, we can help in the decision of what type of production hard drives you'll need and whether you'll need a DLT off-site tape backup (required for many insurance riders).
All cameras, heads, matte boxes, cables, connectors, wrenches, nuts and bolts, and anything else associated with the gear is checked before and after all rentals, and maintained by camera professionals. Back-up gear is available for all configurations - including backup-bodies at discounted rates.
Rates vary based on the type of production, and are similar or better than anyone else. And we have all the accessories and knowledge to ensure there are no hiccups on the day.
Please feel free to contact us or contact Wilmington Camera for further details and other needs like Fisher and Chapman Dollies, Matte Boxes, Filters, Tripods, or anything else.

Here is an HTML version of this page with some photos and a little more detail.
How do I get rushes? How do I transcode from .R3D files to something that Avid or FCP can use? Should I be editing in-line or do an off-line cut? What about color corection? What if I need to print to film? All these are changing questions that we should stay on top of so that you don't have to. Check our forums, or give us a call. And of course, we can arrange for a nice 4K RED-ready editing suite with HD projector screening room.
